The house is located in the town of L’Ametlla del Vallès on a plot of land with a great inclination.
To the east, a street with a group of residential houses; to the west, view of the pine forest. In this environment, the intention of the building is to turn its back on road traffic and, at the same time, open up to the impressive views of the forest.
Taking advantage of the characteristics of the plot, we placed the parking area at street level in order to place the living spaces on the -1 floor, where there is direct access to the garden. Thus, we could provide all the rooms with a direct visual connection to the L'Ametlla pine forest. As all the spaces on this floor are distributed in parallel, each space enjoys natural light: bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and living room. The only space located on the main access floor is the study, which has the double function of 'cushion space' between the parking lot and the living room.
The house has two facades. The street façade is opaque, dark, undulating. It only consists of a window and a door, a fact that isolates the inhabitants from passers-by. The garden façade is totally opposite to that of the street; It has large windows and is very bright. The broken lines that form it, as well as the composition of its openings, respond to the desire to provide light to living spaces.
